Manic launches Twitter space event, as youth welcome new initiative
MANIC Creatives Limited launched its first-ever Twitter space event, with a view to sustain dialogue aimed at empowering the youth.
In the inaugural discussion hosted by Manic, the first topic of discussion on the Twitter space was based on whether the youth should still pursue conventional career paths.
The Twitter space is a digital platform designed to enlighten, empower and groom young leaders through an exchange of ideas.
Manic’s first-ever Twitter space event attracted an audience ranging from 34-57 people, which attracted former Higher Education Minister, Dr. Brian Mushimba.
Findings from the discussion forum established that conventional career paths were careers that involved “sitting at a desk” and working on detailed tasks.
But jobs like graphic and web designing, among others, were considered as unconventional professions.
One of the interesting topics during the forum was on how government could help build capacity of SMEs.
This is mainly because they greatly contribute to Gross National Income (GNI).
The outcome of the Twitter space was broadly a success, as people shared the tweet on their socials.
This helped increase the audience size.
And reaction was positive, with Twitter users calling the forum insightful.
“It was great! Very insightful! The speakers and listeners – so much love for everyone!” One Twitter user said.
“When are you having the next one?” another Twitter user asked.
Vixcxious Rag Doll said: “This is a great space!”
“What we learn in school should not limit us from thinking beyond,” another said.
Manic Creatives will be hosting Twitter spaces every Thursday at 8.00pm based on different subject topics that are in public interest.
